Following an 11:30am pickup at your Auckland hotel, take a seat in your air-conditioned minivan for the 35-miute drive to the coast to begin your 5-hour sightseeing tour.

First, visit the Arataki Center and admire panoramic views over the Waitakere Ranges to the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea. Discover extensive displays of local wildlife, and gain insight into the struggles faced by New Zealand’s early settlers.

Head onward to Piha Beach — renowned for its great surf and black sands — and dip your toes into the cold Tasman Sea. Then, enjoy a wholesome lunch in a local café before heading onward to Karekare Beach — home to natural attractions including a freshwater waterfall.

Delve into the Cascade Kauri Park in the heart of the Waitakere Ranges, and follow your guide along winding hiking trails through dense forest. Along the way, gain insight into New Zealand’s flora and fauna, and perhaps discover native wildlife in the treetops.

When your time in the Cascade Kauri Park comes to an end, return in comfort to your Auckland hotel to conclude your tour.

I highly recommend this tour. Our trip had gone great but I hadn't really seen any beach or rainforest magic yet and was so glad when we got exactly that and more on our tour. Brett was a wonderful guide as he accommodated for my arthritis by designing each walk/hike for what our group needed. He is also a trained photographer and can get you those instagram-worthy shots of you as a couple so this is a great trip to book of you want a couple of great professional shots of the two of you! The spot for lunch was perfect and there is no way to explain the beauty of the black sand beaches--WOW! The rainforest waterfall he brought us to was probably the best of our entire two week trip. Thank you, Brett, for making our day so special. We really had such a great time in the rainforest and on the beaches!

Brett did an amazing job showing us the west coast beaches, mountains, rain forest and waterfalls. It was a truly wonderful small group experience that felt customized just for us. Would highly recommend this tour!!

The most amazing tour in Auckland My family and I booked this tour because we would like to see the waterfall in Auckland. Our tour guide Brett was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. We saw the most beautiful KareKare waterfall and walked on Black Sand beach. The weather was lovely and the scenery was breathtaking. Even the cafe lunch was quite enjoyable and the place had a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. I saw a 1000 year old Kauri tree and a very beautiful hen on our way back. I had an awesome time and it was one of the highlights of my stay in Auckland. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to visit Auckland. This is the tour you don't want to miss out on!

This was a great tour. Brent our driver was very knowledgable and helpful. The sites we visited were beautiful and made for some great photos. There were ten of us in the tour and everyone had a great time. The only regret was that we could not do a full day tour.

An amazing trip! Our guide and leader was Brett - he was excellent. Great insights into the geography of the west coast and the maori culture. Crammed an awful lot into the half-day - felt like a full day - but never rushed. The tour include lunch which was excellent. Brett is alao a photographer and is very happy to share tips and even take your photo. Great sights - opportunity to take a dip in the waterfall which we took and to paddle in the sea at Piha. Great trip - can thoroughy recommend.
