Meet your professional chef and guide for the day in Plaça Reial at 3pm to begin your 4-hour gourmet adventure in Barcelona. Follow your guide on foot to nearby La Boqueria, Barcelona's most iconic public market, where you'll learn about traditional Catalan dishes and ingredients, as well as the history of the market itself.

Tie on your apron and head to a private studio kitchen to get cooking. With the help of a professional chef and assistant, prepare classic Spanish dishes, like seafood paella, Spanish omelette, muscles with sauce and Crema Catalana, a quintessential Catalan dessert. As you cook, you'll learn more about the history of tapas in Spain. Each participant will have a table with an apron, ingredients, and a recipe booklet with step-by-step instructions.

Finish your culinary experience by sitting down in a private lounge to enjoy the dishes you've prepared, served to you with your choice of regional wine, beer, soda or water. The class should wrap up at Plaça Reial around 7pm.

Loved it! Our group 4 adults and 1 nine year old had a lovely evening. The market tour was really fun and the cooking was the best! We had Spanish appetizers from the various regions of Spain with an explanation of each followed by the hands on cooking as much or as little as you want of seafood paella! All accompanied with wine for the evening. Alfredo chef speaks little English, but his translator was awesome and it was a seamless evening. Note that the cooking takes place on the 3rd floor without an elevator and the elderly in our group had a difficult ascension of the stairs.
