Om denne aktiviteten

You'll visit Stellwagen Bank, the East Coast's most famous whale watching destination. Stellwagen's heavy concentration of humpback, finback, and minke whales guarantees an adventure filled with opportunities to view and learn about whales as they frolic in their natural habitat.

Each Boston Whale Watching Cruise is narrated and guided by a naturalist from the noted Whale Center of New England (WCNE). The WCNE has been studying the whales of New England for more than 20 years and its members are recognized worldwide as authorities on whales.

One of the whales you're likely to spot during a Boston Whale Watching Cruise is the humpback. These Northern hemisphere humpbacks reach an average length of 50 feet, and a weight of about 37 tons! Sadly, they're also among the most endangered, and its estimated that only 8 percent of their original population remains.

With the data collected on each cruise, WCNE is able to further the understanding of whales and their world. And, their presence on board ensures that your whale watch will be an exciting and educational trip.

Whale sightings on every whale watch. If you do not see a whale on your trip, you will receive a free ticket for a future Boston Whale Watching Cruise.

The catamarans feature 3 outside decks for optimum viewing capability. Inside you will find climate controlled cabin space with cushioned seating, tables, state-of-the-art audio-visual, and a galley offering snacks and beverages for purchase.

Lovely 3 hours (about 3 hours 20 minutes) late August. Managed to see several humpback whales at fairly close proximity. The guide was informative and the conditions were perfect.

We enjoyed the Boston whale watching cruise. It took an hour to get out to the whale watching spot and an hour back. So be prepared to ride a while. Many people got sick and the water was not choppy at all, Plenty of drinks and snacks on board. The narrator was quite informative and quite educated on whales.

I and my wife took the cruise on the speed catamaran that happened to be a memorable one. There were 3 whales circulating in the visited area. We saw two huge breaches like on the commercial poster and recommend the tour highly to nature lovers. The catamaran is pretty fast, so bring some shell jackets for wind protection on the dock while the boat is moving at speed and sun protection when the boat is at still. Staff is very knowledgeable and you may ask and get answers to any whales related questions. The tour takes just short of four hours and there are sandwiches and snacks available for purchase to keep you running while you are on the boat. Highly recommended!

I was very surprised at how many whales we saw, and how close they were to our catamaran. My family was on a long cruise with 5 city stops, and this whale watching excursion was by far the best experience of the total cruise for several in my family.

We had a great time viewing the whales. The crew was friendly and helpful. Just keep in mind that this is more of a 4 hour cruise, rather than 3 hours as advertised.

This was so much fun. I love to ride boats so I went really for the boat ride. But,,,, there were 4 whales in the water around our boat. According to the host, it is very unusual to see so much action all at one time but we got to see it..... loved it.

Must do activity in Boston , try to make your reservation early in your trip or stay in Boston, so if canceled for any reason ( weather for example) , still you can do it next day . Actually this happened to me and I was fortunate enough that I was staying one more night in Boston , they automatically switched my reservation to next day and I was able to do it.. Too cold weather so you have to be ready for this. Nice to watch whales and dolphins in the ocean.

Self, wife and daughter had taken the afternoon tour. A highspeed catamaran took us around 70 km inside the ocean to Whale Sanctuary and stayed there for about 45 minutes. We viewed score of whales up close, four whales just floated around the boatcatamaran, one of them dived just below the railings we were standing. Experience of a lifetime! Highhly recommended.

The boat operators were great and we saw lots of whales. There is a good café on board and the commentary was helpful. HOWEVER, when we arrived 45 mins early the operator had no space on the 10am trip and blamed Viator for not registering us on that trip, though did have a record that we'd paid. I don't know if it was the operator or Viator to blame, but I suggest not using Viator to book this tour.

We got to see and circle 3 whales (or be circled by??) and ended up back in Boston about 45 min later than our tour was supposed to end. It was a wonderful trip.
