Dark. Impossible to hear the English commentary and really see the buildings we passed. Boat was ok. Waiting was ok. But I would prefer paying more for that tour, do it only during the day with a good earphones commentary.
It was a really nice tour. I had no problem at all. I took the boat during the sunset, so the view was amazing!
Good tour which we took as the sun was setting and the Castle and Parliament buildings were lit up. The sound system was not good though. Could not hear too well, as they were explaining what we were passing/seeing.
Booked online, process and payment was easy. Arrived at the dock around 30mins early due to it being a wet and dull evening, we were allowed to wait inside on the floating dock where there was a bar/cafe where you could purchase coffee, drinks and snacks etc. The ramp down onto the floating dock was very steep and since it was raining this made it rather slippy. When it came time to board the tour boat we had to go down some more stairs and across another boarding ramp which again was a bit wet and slippy. Since we had booked online we had an electronic boarding pass, when presented to the attendant when boarding the tour boat he didn't seem very familiar with it and spent a good few moments inspecting it, before deciding we could go on ahead. Onboard, there is seating both inside and outside on the upper deck, to access the upper deck another set of very very steep stairs must be climbed. The cafe facility is again available onboard the tour boat. The tour was very interesting, highlighting some of the most interesting buildings and bridges as we went along. As we sat on the upper deck the noise from the engine was quite loud and this made hearing the audio commentary quite difficult. Since we took our tour in the middle of November on a cold wet Sunday evening the boat was not overly full, this gave us lots of space to move around and a choice of seats. Overall the tour was good, departure and return all on time, the staff were helpful, the boat was clean and tidy. The only problem being the steep ramps and steps both on and off the boat.
