The art of Hungarian cooking arises from old traditional ways with origins of the first settlers of the Carpathian basin. Our cooking course will walk you through the fine ingredients our ancestors used many millenniums before on a short visit to the market hall. Here you’ll get a chance to browse with the help of our guide and look over the foods we use for the base of many Hungarian meals.

After you market visit you get a hands-on Hungarian cooking courses giving you the opportunity to cook a Hungarian meal. Along the course you be able to learn and ask questions while cooking side-by-side with our Chefs. They will show you how Hungarians use basic ingredients and spices like paprika and teach you the best cooking practices. Once you mastered this you’ll be able to treat your family and friends to a fantastic Hungarian dinner in your home country! After you have cooked the 3 course meal you sit down with everyone in your group and enjoy the fine meal you just created!

Our typical Hungarian menu is similar to this with fluctuation on seasonal ingredients and or diets (vegetarians and other special diets are welcomed)

We had a great experience in the market and in the class room. Working in teams of two we got to prepare three relatively simple dishes that made and excellent lunch. The whole experience was a highlight of our trip to Budapest.

This was a really awesome course! It ended up being a private course - myself and two family members. We met outside the market and our guide took us in for a tour and to buy the food we would be using. After the tour we grabbed a taxi to the cooking school. Everything was already laid out for us, and when we arrived we were offered fresh brewed coffees, espressos, etc. We got to cooking pretty quickly they also have free sodas, beers, wine, etc. It was fun because every so often the tour guide would stop us to take a shot together. The food came out FANTASTIC!! They offer to email you the recipes after the course, but we also bought the cookbook, because yum! You can also buy other things there like knives, cooking utensils, pans, ingredients you used, and so on. Overall, highly recommend and we would absolutely do this again when we return. Thank you so much!!

This was OUTSTANDING! Great shopping tour of the market, a cozy professional kitchen to make Chicken Paprikash and Goulyash soup. Highlight of the trip...would do it again and again. HIGHLY recommend.
