After arriving at Danube Palace, your theater usher will escort you to your seat in your selected seating category for your evening entertainment. Depending on your chosen date and venue, you’ll enjoy a show by the Danube Folk Ensemble, the Rajkó Folk Ensemble or the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble.

No matter which you choose, you can be sure you’ll be entertained by some of the best professional folk performers in Hungary; all three performance groups were founded in the 1950s and have shown off their talents around Hungary and abroad! The 30 artists in each ensemble perform choreography based on authentic dances, some of which date back to isolated villages from hundreds of years ago.

As you watch and listen, gain an entertaining understanding of Hungary’s heritage through the music, dancing and costumes of the folk show.

Each show consists of two 40- to 45-minute sections with an intermission of ten to fifteen minutes.

We enjoyed this performance not only of the Hungarian Dancers but the musicians. This was a professional production and we would recommend it to anyone who would like to have an enjoyable evening out.

Very nice show. I experienced a number of authentic Hungarian dances. Also music was nice and original. Transportation from hotel to show venue and back was seamless and professional. Ticketing and seating were efficient. In less than 2 minutes from reaching the venue, we were on our seats.

We went to this show and had dinner on the Danube several years ago and what I remembered was a great show with great musicians so I booked our group of five couples early this month. I believe the dancers worked very hard and at first the performance was enjoyable, but then the musicians tempo and pitch became unbearable not to mention the young ladies attempt to sing. The musicians did not look like they were having any fun at all. I did like the stick dance very much. I hate to give such low remarks but everyone in our group did not want to stay past the first half so we left. I am sorry again for a bad review, but it is sincere. We did not do the dinner this time because we had been on a boat for the last seven days. My review is simply the show.
