Day 1: Arrival in Argentina, Tango Class and Dinner (D)

You will be transferred in from the airport or port to Rooney's Boutique hotel. In the evening, you will take a private tango class to experience the passion and sensuality of tango. Afterwards, you will enjoy dinner at the famous Chiquilín Restaurante where you will be able to enjoy the world famous Argentine beef and Malbec Wine.

Day 2: City Tour and Tango Dinner Show (B) (D)

In the morning, you will be picked up by a local guide and given a tour around the city and its surroundings that will allow you to discover its spirit, its mystique and its charm. You will visit Plaza de Mayo, Puerto Madero, La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo and Recoleta Cemetery. In the evening, you will enjoy a Tango Show with Dinner at “El Querandí” dedicated to Carlos Gardel who is recognized as one of the most important singers and actors of the 19th century. Here, he came to fame singing Tango in the many theatres of Buenos Aires.

Day 3: Gaucho Fiesta at Estancia Susana (B) (L)

Today, you will be taken out to the pampas of Buenos Aires to a typical ranch were you will be able to enjoy and gain an insight to the “Gaucho” culture. Learn about the Gauchos who are famous horsemen and work the ranches of Argentina. They have wonderful which includes folklore, music, dance and sport. At the Gaucho party you will be received with wine and empanadas. Then, you will visit the Estancia museum and church. You will then learn about the horses and sulky trips and then enjoy a typical Argentine BBQ with wine and a folklore show with Malambo and a demonstration of Gaucho skills.

Day 4: Tigre Delta and Milonga (B) (L)

Today you will visit Tigre Delta (called simply Tigre), which is a group of islands, natural reserve and wildlife. This is one of the few touristic Deltas in the world and a preferred destination for many people to go during the weekend.You will enjoy a tour of this area as you travel through the delta by boat and see the river, its big trees, channels, houses, wharf, boats and healthy life around. Then, enjoy lunch and visit to the famous fruit market to then be transferred back to the hotel. In the evening, you will visit a typical Milonga which is a bar where people meet to dance to Tango. Here you will see that Tango is not just a dance but a lifestyle as you see young and old practice this dance.

Day 5: Colonia de Uruguay (B) (L)

Today you will go to the other side of Rio del Plata to visit the city of Colonia. You will take a fast ferry to get there and enjoy a relaxing day seeing this quaint and historic town that has been declared of Historical national interest by UNESCO. You will feel back in time as you visit its streets and see its buildings during your guided tour. You will enjoy lunch at local restaurant and then head back to your hotel.

Day 6: (B)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport or port.

We enjoyed our private tango lesson and dinner that night was delicious.Our city tour and tango dinner show was excellent event though my steak was really,really tough - could not cut it with my knife.The Gaucha Fiesta was most enjoyable.I would highly recommend it to all my friends.Tigre Delta I would not recommend we were very disappointed.Our guide we were on bus 114 spoke extensively in Spanish and would only say a few words in English.There was 4 of us that spoke English.She never informed us that we could have had an English account of what we were seeing inside the boat.We never saw her again until we were embarking. That evening we were supposed to have a a visit to a Milonga bar which we were really looking forward to everyone wants to to go dancing the Tango in Buenos Aires.We got a printed itinerary from our Proprieritor Kieran Rooney of Rooney's Hotel where you put us for the 5 nights and it was not on his itinerary even though we had payed for this.We feel we need to be re-inbursted as we were never given this part of the tour.A very disappointing tour.Colonia de Uruguay was a disaster it rained continuously.Really very heavy rain.We bought Ponchoes but we were soaked.Wethought we were having an English speaking guide but all we got was malfunctioning hand pieces that broke down almost when the started the tour.I am sure the heavy rain was the problem.We could not continue the tour as the cobblestones were wet and slippy.We really saw very little of the historical town.It took us ages to locate our restaurant where our prepaid lunch was organized.We were soaked wet and terribly uncomfortable.Lunch was second rate food the best part of the meal was the dessert.We board and have one night on our cruise in port on 28th any chance you could organize our Milonga tour for Sunday evening .We are so disappointed that was missed in our 6days best of Buenos Aires.
