This fun and in-depth walking tour allows you to better understand the history and culture of Buenos Aires. Your local guide will inform you about the local history, architecture, traditions and unique features you probably would never have discovered otherwise!

Some of the main sites and landmarks include:

Historic downtown and Plaza de Mayo - Cathedral, Cabildo, Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero and Mothers of the Disappeared

San Telmo - the picturesque, oldest neighborhood in Buenos Aires: Slave Market, Defensa Street, Plaza Dorrego Antiques market, colonial churches and houses

The Plaza San Martin park area - the most flamboyant areas of Buenos Aires that gave it the reputation of being "The Paris of the South"

Famous Recoleta and Palermo neighborhoods - visit the world-famous Recoleta Cemetery, including a history of the life and death of Eva Peron

Brisk tour of central Buenos Aires. Lots of information. I was the lone guest on this tour. If I could change one thing I would encourage the guide to deal with questions when they are raised rather than saying he would explain later in the tour. The tour did give me insight into much of the history of Argentina and Buenos Aires.

A very interesting day, Carlos was a fountain of information and endless facts, incredibly interesting and brought Buenos Aires to life with his fascinating stories a superb way to find out about this interesting city and would fully recommend it.

The first half of the walking tour, in the morning, was very good. I enjoyed the guide and the range of interest. However, I was somewhat disappointed when, at lunch time, I was joined by another guide who took me to Recoleta where I thought we spent too much time. The second guide was also less fluent in English than the first guide.
