Varighet: 3 timer

Disapointing. There was no demonstration of horsemanship but we saw seats and a paddock setup for it..

We had a wonderful time in San Antonio de Areco in las pampas last week. We were greeted promptly by Pablo in the lobby of the hotel. He was professional and polite. We had a great drive and stopped in a quaint little town. I even was able to try Mate during the rest break! The ranch looked great and the family was very welcoming. The parilla was great; one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. The horse back ride was so enjoyable. I am a first time rider and they made me feel very comfortable. It is one of the things I cant stopped taking about! It was an absolutely perfect day!! Jennifer I also have to mention how smoothly it was to book through Viator. I will use this site again.

Absolutely wonderful in every respect. Highly recommended. From the welcome drink and empanadas to the proper horse ride, the endless freshly cooked food and drinks to folklore dancing, singing and then the horse whisperer demonstration. Fabulous!

The day started with a driver picking me up at my hotel at the appointed time. The bus was spacious enough and air-conditioned. our tour guide, Pablo gave us a concise history lesson about the evolution of the Gauchos. I was happy to have learned something valuable about culture and history of Argentina. Pablo was very entertaining throughout the two hour ride to the ranch. Upon reaching the ranch, we were welcomed with tastey empanadas and a `drink of out choice. 0The ranch is spacious, by American standards. I was able to relax and get to meet the other tourists. Then, I fitted to a horse my size and went for a horse ride of at least thirty minutes. Afterwards, a majestic lunch was served of the meats cooked for us that day at the ranch. Pablo made sure that each one his guests were taken care of. After lunch, we had dessert and a 45 minute Guacho show, which included our participation in dance. The day was amazing, restfull, and fun. It was the high-light of my trip.

The tour was fantastic. Camilla, the multi-lingual tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the Gaucho culture and its history and her personality was very accommodating in all sense of the word.

We really loved our trip to Gaucho Ranch. We had a fantastic guide - Paublo, who made the trip, with his informative, relaxed style. Kids enjoyed the horse ride and the food was delicious. Though it was wet in the morning, the 'muddy', bumpy, 4wd drive road to the ranch was a highlight for our kids! The entertainment after lunch with gaucho dancing, guitar playing and the horse whisperer made it a memorable trip! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful full day tour with Pablo to Estancia El Ombu de Areco. Pick up was on time and friendly. Pablo provided an excellent narrative on Buenos Aires and Argentina on the trip there. We arrived and were treated to some empanadas and a short tour of the "kitchen" where the meat was being prepared for our lunch later in the day. We then were "loaded" up on our horses (carriage rides provided for those not wishing to ride a horse) and left with a group of about 50 others to ride around the ranch. The horses were all gentle and calm. The staff helped everyone get up on the horse and be ready to go. It was fun watching the ranch's dog herding the horses and cows when necessary. Once back we were seated for our asado lunch. A feast of meats were brought to us continually to go along with some excellent salads and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. Once lunch was done we were treated to a show of local dancers (including a young 2 year old who made the show). The ride back to the hotel was certainly quiet and as we all had a snooze. All in all a great day and well worth the money - it's not cheap to do these things but you'll enjoy it.

We had a wonderful time at the ranch last Sunday despite the extreme weather that made access to the ranch challenging: we needed 4-wheel drive and experienced gaucho driver to handle the 6 km of muddy roads to the ranch (even worse returning...amazing handling!) The horse ride was an adventure as well but everyone handled it well. Natalya (guide) was professional and informative. The meal included the best empanadas ever, and the steaks and rides and chorizos were never-ending. Highly recommended!

The stop at the jewelry / artisan store in San Antonio de Areco was very nice and the prices are actually quite decent. It is worth a look. The Estancia included food and wine, a Gaucho dance, and a horseback ride. The food -- grilled beef and sausages -- were fantastic, the best we had during a trip to Argentina, and the wine was a nice complement. The Gaucho dance was entertaining and enlightening, giving us a picture of the rural, ranch life. The horseback ride was inside a fenced pasture, done at a slow walk, and was the least exciting part of the tour. But it was fun.Our guide was Pablo and he fed us information, anecdotes, and stories about Argentina, Buenos Aires, and what it was like to live there. He was the highlight of the tour.

We had a great day doing the Gaucho experience and I highly recommend it if you want to do something out of Buenos Aires. Pablo our guide was fun and informative and the ranch was beautiful. It was a two hour drive from Buenos Airies but Pablo made sure we weren't bored and told us more of the history of Buenos Aires and about the gaucho. We were greeted with a drink and the best empanadas I tasted in Argentina. I hadn't ridden a horse so was a little nervous, but I shouldn't have worried as my mount was steady and slow and I loved the ride around the ranch. On our return we had a huge lunch of chorizo, black sausage, tripe and 3 types of beef all cooked on a huge BBQ. There was even bread pudding or ice cream if you had the room and plenty of Malbec too! Everyone at the ranch was so friendly and they serenaded us with Gaucho music and dancing. Then we were shown the most incredible horse whispering skills by one of the gauchos. He was able to almost put the horse in a trance and do some amazing things.
