Om denne aktiviteten
Meet your guide in your hotel lobby at the selected departure time. First visit the center of Cusco. Your guide will take you to the Cathedral in The Plaza De Armas to view ancient artwork and beautiful Spanish architecture. Next, you will continue on foot (approx. 15-20 minutes) to the Qoricancha Museum, where you will be able to view both Incan and Spanish history, art and architecture. A private car will meet you and transfer you to the famous Sacsayhuaman Incan archeological site, situated on a mountain overlooking Cusco. Sacsayhuaman, a walled-complex like many other Inca constructions, is made of large polished stone walls. Each boulder in the wall was carefully cut to fit together without the need for mortar.
Next head to Qenqo, also known as The Labyrinth. This temple, dedicated to Mother Earth, is a unique center of celebration and astronomical studies. It has numerous ceremonial carvings, holes, and canals cut into the rock. One of its features is a semi-natural underground chamber. Continue your trip with a visit to Pucapucara. This complex contains several rooms, inner plazas, aqueducts, vantage points, and pathways. It may have served as an Incan "tambo" (rest and lodging area).
Lastly, go to the archeological site of Tambomachay. Tambomachay is believed to have fulfilled an important altar function linked to water and the regeneration of the land, and is closely linked with Pucapucara. The area covers about 2.4 acres (one hectare), and is made out of polygonal-shaped limestone. Your tour ends with a drop off at your hotel approximately four hours after your selected departure.

We had a great private tour! This is a must do, she even made alternative stops for us and recommended a great place to eat dinner! Definitely recommend. We can't remember the name of our tour guide but she was EXCELLENT!! We went on the tour on September 18th.
It was a very nice experience, complete with explanations and lots of background. Highly recommended! Also, they were very patient with my Dad who is elderly.
It was nice to get away from our big tour group for a couple of hours. We went to a couple of Incan sites including the cathedral in the town square, snacks were also included in the price. It was not a bad tour but it certainly was not the best either. I felt that the time for the tour was too short (even if we exceeded for about an hour) for the itinerary because it did not give us enough time to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. We felt the experience was somewhat rushed.
Viator used Rainbow Mountain Tours and my two sons and I were extremely lucky to have gotten Gabrielle sp? as our guide. On a scale of 1-10 she was over- the- top-terrific! She was accommodating altitude sickness delayed departure, very knowledgeable, and obviously excited about what she does. We had a great morning touring Temple of the Sun, the cathedral on Plaza de Armas, and outside town ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puka Puka, Tambochay - all worthwhile .
