Starting at 11:30am you will be transfered by minivan from your hotel to the first stop at Nataly´s House which is located in the very historical center of Cusco. She offers a typical starter dish from Cusco called " Soltero de Quinua" a delitious and so easy to prepare dish that people from Cusco says that even a young single man or women (soltero) can prepare it. This experience will be set in an historical old Casona, registered as a Cultural heritage by UNESCO. Addicionally you can apreciate different archaeological elements like an old Batan or stone mill and inka walls which are part of the house foundations. La Casona also has a beautiful patio with some regional fruits, flowers and medicinal native herbs.
Our second stop is at Lilys´s house, located in the republican district of Santiago. There you will try " Sopa de Zapallito Italiano" a typical soup with chopped pumpkins, green beans, potatoes, cheese, and jerky or alpaca dehydrated meat. This is a traditional dish frecuently consumed in the andean mountains and the sacred valley of the Incas. Lily´s father is a famous folkloric musician in Cusco, so she will tell us some stories about his father while the music creates a special atmosphere
Our last stop is at Ganesh´s house in the modern residencial district of Wanchaq. There you will try "Lomo Saltado con Fettuccine a la Huancaína". Lomo saltado (Beef strips sautéed with onions, tomatoes and chili pepper) was born in the XIX Century, by the Chinnesse and European influence.
This tour is more than a cooking class, you will have an intimate and deep gastronomic experience.
