Stop At: Hoi An Ancient Town, Hoi An 560000 Vietnam

Short visiting Hoi An Old town, will visit the Nguyen Thai Hoc Street where many lanterns are also displayed. Whilst walking along this street, we drop at a small café to enjoy coffee and contemplate the lanterns.

Visit the traditional house in Quang Nam and listen to the story of the Job Lady of craft sericulture in Quang Nam. Visit the ancient Champa mulberry and traditional mulberry garden. Learn how to feed the silkworm and see the silkworm cocoons. Explore the unraveled silkworm cocoons in the traditional way. Discover the traditional handicraft textile of Champa and learn how to make Champa peoples traditional textile crafts. Visit the Vietnamese traditional silk weave house “Cua Dien Textile Machine”. Relax in the lush green mulberry garden and enjoy the local special meal.

Really interesting silk tour with hands-on activities for the adults and kids. The lunch after the tour was good and refreshing. The lantern-making was fun and the kids really enjoyed getting to make their own lantern. The women there were very helpful and we bought a few other silk lanterns for souvenirs too. Our tour guide, Lam, was excellent and did a great job of helping us around!
