It is a very informative quick tour of the ship. I do recommend it but it is a bit expensive for what you receive.

Excellent tour was given by Ray. The Jeanie Johnston was easy to find. My friend and I found parking almost opposite in the parking structure beside the Hilton Hotel. Ray gave us a good overview of life in Ireland before the famine and some of the issues facing the generally Catholic Irish peasants at the time. He told us about the history of the coffin ships and the unique history of the Jeanie Johnston which safely made 16 journeys from Ireland to America from 1847-1853 without losing any passengers en route. We then learned about the replica ship on which we were standing which was commissioned by the Irish government in 2003 and made her maiden voyage to America under sails in three weeks. Below deck, we heard about what life would have been like on the voyage. There were excellent recreations of life there including some specific stories of the original Jeanie Johnston's passengers. We were given adequate time to look around below deck and take photos. Once above deck, we learned some more about the history of the period. I would highly recommend this tour as it was very informative.

Interesting tour given by enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide. Description of tour should make clear that the ship is the museum and that there is no additional exhibit.
