On this tour that's as educational as it is recreational, you'll embark on an animated and entertaining journey through the sights and sounds that inspired great Irish writers including James Joyce, George Bernard Shaw, Brendan Behan, Sean O'Casey, Samuel Beckett, Oscar Wilde and W.B. Yeats - not forgetting modern scribes like Seamus Heaney, Eavan Boland, Paula Meehan and Brendan Kennelly.

Kicking off at the Duke Pub on Duke Street, this literary pub crawl will take you to famous pubs and haunts while actors recite verses from the best Irish literature. You can sink a pint while learning about the lives of these great writers and hear some of the hilarious stories that became folklore in Dublin's literary circles.

My teenagers and I had a memorable evening with our pub crawl tour guides- I think her name was Molly and I don’t remember his name unfortunately. They’re both gifted actors who drew us in immediately with their dramatic and funny interpretations of Irish literature. Our group was enthusiastic but not too rambunctious which I was concerned about with my kids. The pubs were lovely, the pints tasty and I felt it was the perfect amount of time. Thank you for a great evening!

Great tour packed with laughs, history and good pints. Loved the pub selection and the history shared about these wonderful establishments. The trivia game was fun and enlightening!

This was fun! The tour guides were actors and singers who kept us amused and informed. Highly recommend this pub crawl.

We were very disappointed. Part of it could have been the weathermore than a soft rain in my book. The guides do quote Irish authors and poets, but usually outside, which can be cold and for us, very wet. We were taken to 4 pubs, but there was minimal association with the authors/poets. At the pubs, which were very busy, we had 20 minutes to order and drink, not my usual speed. The quiz was ok, but I know many on our tour were googling answers. Overall, not wonderful. Cant really say that I would recommend it.

he 4 Nobel Prize Winners for Literature who were also Irish. You'll learn more factoids like the above on the tour, as well as enjoy the guides as they act out scenes from famous works both serious and not!. Plenty of time for drinks at the pubs as well!
