Visite the Castle one morning in September before crowds gathered. Amazing experience although we didn't have time to visit the whole area. Sadly we found it difficult to climb up the spiral staircase to see the Bed Chambers of Mary etc and it was confusing trying to find the exits. Better signage could be better. One big disadvantage is that we had to pay extra for an audio guide. We have visited many places in Edinburgh, e g the Royal Yacht and have never had to pay extra for an audio guide.

Interesting and historic castle brimming with history. It was a great value combined with the Hop on Hop Off Red Line bus tours. Have a cute dining area to have a High Tea experience

You save a good amount by buying these tickets in this way. Even more if you’re a senior! Everybody’s very helpful...especially the Hop on Hop off bus guides and drivers and they get you to where you want to go...would thoroughly recommend this combined ticket and would buy again if I return. PS Holyrood Palace is fantastic!

It was a great idea to get this ticket. Not only that it was very helpful to see and learn about Edinburgh, but also as a great means of transportation. We will buy again when back in Edinburgh next year.

We loved our hop on hop off experience. Not only did we use it to see the sights but we also hopped off to visit the Edinburgh Castle and The Botanical Garden. The buses were clean and comfortable and the drivers were friendly and helpful. Colin and Ian were particularly informative and funny.

Thoroughly worthwhile spend.The organisers at Waverley made sure everyone stayed in line with no pushing in.They are courteous and informative. Buses are very regular, every 12 mins or so.Never had long to wait to hop back on.The attraction tickets bypassed queuing and were cheaper in with the tour buses. Good value and tours giving all we needed to know.

In just 2 days we managed to see the 3 attractions plus the Calton Hill, King Arthur's Seat and do shopping in Princes Street. We used all 3 bus routes which saves money and time.

couldnt get a nice photo of the castle up there, raining and very windy...tried the next day after our tour from the highlands but unfortunately it was already closed.
