Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Fez and transfer to a Berber village in the Atlas Mountains
Stop At: Fez Mellah, Fes Morocco
When you arrive at Fez Airport you will meet our representative who will greet you and then transfer you to your lodge. Lunch will be served at the riad in the Medina followed by a group orientation then, a guided introduction to Fez exterior tour around the walled city. Later we will go on an excursion to Mount Zalagh in the Rif Mountains north of Fez for a most enticing panoramic view on the city. We will return to Fes for dinner and overnight.

• Lunch: Packed lunch will be in nature taking a break from your first hike.
• Dinner: Freshly cooked dinner in Camp
Accommodation included: Camping or using a local gite depends on the weather
Day 2: Travel from Tingharou Berber village to Azrou then hike to Ajeaabou Village
Stop At: Douar Azrou, Morocco
After breakfast, we will take off in our overland 4 wheel drive to Azrou. Visit the Troglodytes of Azrou, then to Ain Leuh where we will begin our trek excursion in the dense cedar forests of the Atlas Mountains. Walk to Ajaabou for about 3 hours where we will have a local encounter in a Berber home with a typical home cooked dinner.

Day 3: Walk to Ain Leuh cedar Forest to Zaouiet Ifrane Berber village and continue hiking to Tagnite
Stop At: Ifrane National Park, Ifrane Morocco
After breakfast, we will start our hike up to Zaouiet Ifrane. Our mule caravan will be ready to load our belonging and what we need for the journey trekking through thousand-year-old cedar trees on an altitude of around 6000 feet. We follow on the mules by the on a trail through the valley of Ain Leuh in a most natural setting. First slopes we will encounter will be at Bou Harch Valley a breathtaking scenic trail in the Middle Atlas. We will stop for lunch at the breathtaking plateau of Tagnite. In the afternoon with them will encounter nomadic shepherds. We will learn about their daily life watching them returning with their flocks of sheep and goats or simply walking back from a laborious day in their small plots. We will be hosted by a local family in their compound, another dinner cooked for the occasion. The night will be at a natural if weather allows if not a Berber guesthouse warm a cozy will host our group.

Day 4: TRAVEL FROM ZAOUIAT TO WIWANE LAKE (6 HOURS WALKING)

We will start our morning hiking from Zaouiet village along with a shepherd toward the springs up that give life to this village. We will pause for lunch at Afnourine under the Millennium old cedar trees then proceed in the afternoon hiking up the peaks of Mount Michlifen. Our camp will be set in the natural environment around Wiwane Lake for an overnight under the starry African sky.

Day 5: Travel from Lake Ouiouane to Oum Rabia Springs trekking superb natural landscapes unique to the Atlas Mountains
Stop At: Ifrane National Park, Ifrane Morocco
We will pack our mules and proceed along a series of brooks and natural springs encountering cliff-hanging Berber villages down to Oum Rabia River. We will take a break to freshen up and bath in the crystal clear water of this magnificent river that takes its springs only a few miles upstream. Our crew will prepare a festive lunch for you on the banks of the river shaded under sky reaching poplar and willow trees. Our camp will be up to the river by its springs in open nature if weather allows it.

Day 6: Trekking day visiting Sefrou city, Bhalil vilage on to Fez
Stop At: Sefrou Falls, Sefrou, Morocco
After breakfast in the wilderness of the Atlas Mountains, we will head down to Fez. A city that never ceased of amazing visitors and locals alike, a historical mystery of the magnitude of a UNESCO world heritage site is waiting for you to discover. The afternoon will be devoted to exploring the outskirts which entice every visitor and locals alike. On our way, we will visit The ancient city of Sefrou and the neolithic troglodytes' village of B’Halil. Dinner and accommodation will be at a Riad inside the walled city of Fes.

Day 7: Guided walking tour of Fez
Stop At: Fez Mellah, Fes Morocco
Are you ready for the most interesting walking tour? Well, here you are with a local guide stepping back in time to the 8th century when the city of Fes was founded. this medieval walled wall city has not changed since. Remnants of antiquity are in every step you take. Fez is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest exclusively pedestrian area in the world. Cars, bicycles motorcycles and the like are strictly prohibited within the walls of the Medina. Mules are the only permissible form of transportation and are known as the "taxis of the Medina." Today, you will add to your most authentic encounters an immersion with most Moroccan city, the intellectual and spiritual capital of the kingdom of Morocco. The entire day will be devoted to exploring the city. You will begin with the Mellah, followed by the King's palace and the Bat'ha museum of Moroccan Arts. The remainder of your morning will be spent on a walking tour of the Medina, a walled city with a maze of medieval twisting alleys, blind turns, mosques, shrines, fountains, workshops, and numerous markets. Enjoy a typical Fes Tagine for lunch at a typical Moroccan restaurant. After lunch, you will continue to explore the Medina and shop for the remainder of the afternoon, ending with a farewell dinner at your Riad.
