Stop At: Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, Via della Canonica, 1 Piazza del Duomo, 50122, Florence Italy

Your tour will begin just in front of the entrance to the Duomo ticket office at Piazza di San Giovanni, where your guide will lead you passed the public lines and directly into the cathedral, thanks to our special no wait access. Upon entering the church, your guide will begin the story of this incredible feat of engineering that required a whole new process for its construction. Including how, after nearly 200 years of construction, architect Filippo Brunelleschi's innovative approach finally enabled its completion.

In addition to learning the history of this magnificent structure, you will also view the beautiful details of its interior including elaborate marble floors, stained-glass windows, and beautiful frescos. Your tour will be capped off by the viewing of Vasari’s famous Last Judgement, which lines the incredible 375 ft high dome.

After your thirty-minute guided tour you will have the option to remain and explore the Duomo at your leisure or continue out to the beautiful Piazza del Duomo.

The Duomo in Florence stands alone and can be enjoyed without a tour guide. Our guide on this short, 30-minute walk-through, was very knowledgeable, but very hard to understand. Her thick accent had me just wandering off on my own to enjoy the site.

Not a great tour as there was little information on Brunelleschi or indeed Vasarii. Most of the tour was about the church when all I wanted to know about was the dome. Kind of wasted my time

Tour guide was prompt and very knowledgeable and gave us access to an air-conditioned room whilst we waited for everyone to turn up. The only downside was the tour didn't include the tour of the old church beneath the Duomo which was a shame

worth every cent the lines were super long and the heat of the summer didn't help either so very happy that we were able to appreciate the beauty and history of the Duomo with a very knowledgeable guide.

This was a great value! It was not a very long tour but it was a great way to get into the Duomo faster and learn about the church's history and construction.

Great tour if you don't want to risk waiting in line to get into the Duomo. The tour lasted 30 minutes. After the tour you are free to hang out in the Duomo and explore on your own. The only negative is that the tour does not give you access to the Crypt of Santa Reparata under the Duomo or the Duomo museum. Even though the normal ticket to the Duomo includes access to these, this tour doesn't give you the actual ticket... it only gets you inside the Duomo. With that said, this tour was worth it to skip the 1 hour long line. If you have time, I would also recommend getting the actual Duomo ticket.. the Crypt is a very interesting archaeological site of the previous church that the Duomo was built on top of and the Duomo museum was recently renovated and very well done.
