Once we arrived in Rome and met with the tour guide, the trip was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour guide, and he led us through the maze of tourists amazingly well. I do, however, have recommendations for future trips. I as surprised to see we were the only two participants from Florence, so we were given very limited information and the train/Metro tickets for Rome. If I had not already traveled to Rome on my own, I would likely have been overwhelmed to have been left on my own in this way. This was the point of signing up for the tour. The schedule had changed to an afternoon tour of the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's rather than in the morning, which would have been fine if we had been informed. The map provided to us for the meeting location for the afternoon tour was virtually worthless - scale and fuzzy copy did not allow finding nearby streets. We walked for blocks and blocks and finally stopped someone to ask if he could tell where we were to meet. He could make nothing of the map but googled the location - we were blocks and blocks off target and almost missed our tour. So, my recommendation is if you are going to offer the trip from Florence, then fully support it - provide better directions as to where to meet at the Florence train station another complete mystery and in Rome, and provide pre-trip updates. Otherwise, just do the tour from Rome.

It was glorious!! The guide was very knowledgeable. I'm sorry that I only had one day in Rome, but one day is better than none

We were met at SMN Train Station on time by the rep who explained thoroughly what we were supposed to do, first we went to Rome, aw the Colosseum, Went to any open church / cathedral in sight, there were just too many, Visited the Pantheon, Altar of the Fatherland, Imperial Forum, Temple of Venus and Rome, before going to the Vatican City. Had the best gelato ever in Rome. The Vatican!! Incredible. No words can convey how beautiful it actually is, the art, drawings, tapestry... out of this world! Got there during Holy Week! Visitors, Pilgrims, not the best mix but we made it through. Had to wait for the procession during service, but it was an awesome experience!
