Your day will begin with an early hotel pickup. From there you will be taken to the beautiful Halong Bay – a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1994 with nearly 3,000 rocky islets. Depending on the traffic, the drive could take up to 4 hours, however, along the way you’ll get to see the Red River Delta, one of the two granaries of Vietnam.

Upon arriving in Halong, we will sail our boat round its natural rocky gardens whilst a tasty seafood lunch is waiting on board. Most of the islets here are not for living due to the lack of fresh water, but are excellent for cruising due to their magnificent beauty. Many of them have great names from their inspirational shapes, including the Surprising Cave, Pelican Grotto, Chopstick Rock, Butterfly Rock, Turtle Rock, the Island of Fishman’s Head, the Fighting Cocks, the Sail, the Urn, or the Sea Dog!

You have the choice of wandering through the grotto's, going swimming, or just lazily relaxing on the sundeck with drinks.

The boat will be back to the Wharf late afternoon where we take our car or coach to return to Hanoi.

Your day will finish with a drop-off to your hotel.

Very disappointed by the operator's no show. I contacted the agent the evening before the trip to confirm my attendance. They told me to be at the Hanoi Opera House at 8:30am for my pickup. I arrived 20 minutes early, joined the other tourists waiting to be picked up and waited for one hour. The bus did not turn up to collect me. Ended up as the last lone tourist waiting to be picked up like a dumb shag on a rock. If you really want to see Halong Bay use a different operator.

The tour was great. The guide was very good and knowledgeable. They picked us from our hotel in time as advised by their email to us and as per the itinerary all the activities were completed. we asked for vegetarian food and the tour guide asked for our preferences and took trouble to make sure that we were served vegetarian food.fantastic views and scenery. If you visit Hanoi do not miss this tour.
