Stop At: Perfume Pagoda, Huong Son My Duc, Hanoi 100000 Vietnam

Far about 70km from Hanoi, Perfume Pagoda, also known as Huong Pagoda is famous scenic spot of Vietnam, which is located in Huong Son Commune, My Duc District, Hanoi. This is an architectural complex scattering in Suoi Yen valley and consists of ancient works with unique appearance and caves formed as a result of the natural movement. The tourist complex also includes dozens of Buddhist temples, god temples, shrines... worshiping agriculture beliefs. It is also famous for both domestic and foreign tourists thanks to Huong Pagoda Festival lasting from 6/1 to the end of March in lunar calendar. For those who would like to participate in the festival, they should go right in the festival season in order to experience the unique atmosphere. If simply going sightseeing and admiring the wonders of Creation, tourists can reach Perfume Pagoda at any time of all year round. The center of the temple complex in the region is Perfume Pagoda, which is located in Huong Tich Cave, also known as Inner Pagoda (chua Trong). Tourists will certainly not regret when setting foot in Huong Pagoda. Here, they have a chance to admire Huong Tich Cave, which is dubbed "the most beautiful cave in the North".

Located on Lao Mountain's shelf, Heaven Kitchen Pagoda was built in 1,467 under King Le Thanh Tong. The pagoda was built on a rectangular-shaped piece of land running through the steep courtyard to the wall as the separation between the flat land and mountain behind the pagoda. The architectural style is known as "5 entrance with 3 steps". The unique architectural works contributes to promote Thien Tru Pagoda to become one of the fascinating tourist attractions in Hanoi. Over the lifetime of abbots, the construction and reconstruction of the pagoda are still continuously continued, leading Thien Tru Pagoda to be a magnificent castle among the mountains and forests of Huong Son, shows up as a unique artistic architecture. Tourists once setting foot on Huong Son in the journey of exploring Hanoi travel will surely not miss the unique tourist site.

This tour was bad. The guide did not care about our experience. The cave and temple are very peaceful, beautiful, and interesting. However the food options are limited and we spent the majority of time in a car, at a humanity center, or in a very small boat with an unpleasant guide.

Great day. The Perfume Pagoda was very impressive. Since we went during Tet Festival time, when many Vietnamese make a pilgrimage here, it was very crowded. We were about the only non Asians so were quite the celebrities, but everyone was nice and yelling hello to us. Our guide, Frank, was very knowledgable, not only about what we were seeing, but about Vietnam, Vietnamese culture, and even world politics and economics as they relatd to and impacted Vietnam.

This was an awesome tour and a great company to work with. Rose picked us up at the hotel bright and early. She made sure we had everything we needed and took us in a lovely air con van to where we needed to pick up the boat. The ride is about 2.5 hours and it goes very fast learning about her country and the places you drive thru. Once we arrived our row boat picked us up and took us on a 45 minute ride up the river to the Pagoda's . The water is like glass and the scenery is breathtaking . It was raining a bit so our guide made sure we had a covered boat to make our trip extremely pleasant. Once we arrive Rose took us thru each step giving amazing historical information and sharing old tales and myths aside of explaining the religion. We had a wonderful lunch between pagodas and honestly there was too much food you didnt know what to try first. Our guide really made the tour very special for us and I would highly recommend anyone going to the Perfume Pagoda to book with Rose if you want a real once in a life time experience.
