The tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of connecting underground tunnels located in the Cu Chi district of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and are part of a much larger network of tunnels that underlie much of the country. The Cu Chi tunnels were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War .

The tunnels were used by Viet Cong soldiers as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon caches and living quarters for numerous North Vietnamese fighters. The tunnel systems were of great importance to the Viet Cong in their resistance to American forces, and helped to counter the growing American military effort.

Morning guide pick you up at your hotel at 08:30am traveling to the tunnels about 90 minutes. The network stretches 250km long underground dug out,You will visit a short distance of the real tunnels network underground and get down into the tunnels, crawling around in the safer parts of the tunnels system.

Afternoon, drive back to Saigon around 15:00.

If you are not staying in any of these areas, please make your way to the meeting point at: 28/1 Bui Vien st, Pham Ngu Lao ward, Dist.1, Ho chi minh city.

The tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions the whole trip - he also had a flair for drama! He was also very impartial. This wasn't a propaganda tour at all.Cu Chi itself was extensive and there was lots to do. The tunnels were only one part of the whole experience. We saw the hiding places, the traps, the weapons, the food, the guns and vehicles. It was all fascinating. I highly recommend it.

The guide was impressive with his knowledge. The bus was comfortable and just about on time. Cu Chi itself was pretty good - but you are on a bit of a conveyor belt with many other tour groups. Still worth seeing for mine. For noting... it takes a long time to get out there, so you spend most of the 6 hours or so in a bus.

Really great tour with fantastic guide who gave a lot of information and answered every question. Pick up from the hotel was very useful. Highly recommend the small group tour. Well worth the money.

Excellent day tour to the tunnels. Picked up from the hotel, water provided, drove to the tunnels site almost 2 hours away in a comfortable shuttle. Guide was excellent, providing plenty of insights on the tunnels and the war and Viet Cong. You end up spending about 2 hours at the tunnel area, extremely eye-opening experience. Optional activities include a shooting range where you can shoot from the likes of the AK-47 or M3. Highly recommended.
