Illuminated by the night lights, Syntagma square will be your starting point, where you will meet your expert foodie guide and begin your culinary adventure across Athens. After a small introduction to the rich culinary history of Athens, your guide will lead you to a contemporary restaurant and deli shop that integrates traditional recipes with modern ingredients and techniques. Try smooth fava, homemade pies, and tasty fritters, and wash them down with the traditional Greek spirit of tsipouro.

Descend the streets of the historical center of Athens, heading to the trendy and colorful neighborhood of Psirri, where the second food stop will take place. Visit a local 'meze' tavern and indulge in local favorite recipes like 'moussaka', spicy meatballs and melted feta cheese with fresh tomato and oregano.

Following a relaxed walk around the Thissio area, your tour will round up in a homey wine bar, where an expert sommelier will give insight into the Greek wine production and will explain the characteristics of 5 favorite Greek wine varieties.

This tour was amazing! Our guides were very nice, friendly, and especially knowledgeable. We learned interesting things about Greek history and culture, customs particularly about food and wine. We especially liked going to restaurants that the locals go to and not just the touristy places.

Marina, our tour guide, was excellent and made us feel like we have an old friend taking us out. Excellent way to try local cuisine and drinks. Plenty of food and great variety, lots of local alcoholic drinks as well. Highly recommended.
