Meet your guide at a central point in Athens at 10am, and prepare to explore Athens by bike! The 9km tour is suitable for cyclists of all abilities, and follows bike-safe routes along pedestrian and low-traffic streets.

The tour starts with a short briefing from the tour leader. The first stop is in front of the new Acropolis Museum, where we will give you some useful tips about visiting the Acropolis hill and the Parthenon.

Then, through nice and quiet pedestrian areas we will pass by the main highlights of the historic center. Take in stunning views of the Acropolis before cycling to the Ancient Agora, the hub of political and public life in Athens. Continuing to the Roman Forum and the Tower of the Winds, you will experience the sights of the city's Roman period. The Keramikos Ancient cemetery, the Athens Orthodox Cathedral and some nice hidden spots of the city that you might have missed conclude our first part.

Our 20-25minute coffee break follows. You will have the chance to taste the popular Greek style coffee and relax for a while. Then, we start cycling again inside the traditional Plaka neighborhood before exploring the more “modern” part of the city.

We will have a closer look at the Panathenaic Stadium, the venue where the first modern Olympic Games took place. We will also cycle through the maze of the National gardens, the best place to enjoy nice shady trails and to cool down a little. We will admire the Presidential guards in front of the Presidential mansion and check in at Zappeion indoor hall, Temple of Zeus & Hadrian’s Arch.

Pleasantly surprised. Our tour leader was awesome. She showed us around and gave us the insider information on Athens. We took our 9 year old on the trip, and they took great care of her with a smaller bike.

Our leader Sapfo Tavouti was great ! We had a great tour of the city, and got some good exercise at the same time. She is VERY knowledgeable about the city, and it was great getting to know her, since getting to know the locals is an important part of travel. One could also see that she knows lots of the people in the Center City, especially the restaurant owners, as she is very friendly.

Excellent tour and tour guide - we had a blast! Costas was friendly, knowledgable, funny...our family ages 17 and up did this together on our first day in Athens and it was a perfect intro tour! Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this tour and our guide Alex was amazing. We were only in Athens for 1 full day and it really was the best way for us to see the city. The paths were not hard at all since we stuck to pedestrian streets. Alex also did a great job of answering all of our questions and letting us stop for longer than we should have. It turned the 3 hours into 4 hours, but it there was so much to see. Stop considering and just book it--you won't regret it.
