Melina was wonderful! We met at her home and went shopping for ingredients to prepare a 3 course meal. We stopped at a couple of shops along the way and she even bought us some authentic Greek treats to try as we cooked. She had 4 types of flavored water prepared as one person in the group did not drink alcohol. She is a very knowledgable person. She even had a cooking show on tv for 7 years and has published a cook book! She also emailed us the recipes afterwards. If you like to cook and want an experience with a local, this is the way to go!

Melina is a wonderful,cheerful, warm, friendly, very welcoming person that from the get go made us feel at home! Her house has such a calm,warming ambiance. Our cooking class was absolutely awesome. We began our experience by walking to a local shop. After that we had an unforgettable time learning how to cook two Greek dishes and a Greek dessert. We were able to eat the dishes we prepared with a lovely red wine which Melina gave us. She is such a great instructor and she clearly puts a lot of thought and planning into the cooking instructions and preparation beforehand. Melina kept it Greek, but adjusted it to make it not just tasty, but also very healthy. The experience was not only fun, but also educating and now we can cook all of those dishes at home. From start to finish, it was a lovely evening of cooking and learning more about Greek culture. We would absolutely recommend this cooking class, and we will be booking it again when we return to Athens in the future!
