It has been given the nickname the ‘Tuscany of Slovenia’ for its countless vineyards, rolling hills, and medieval villages. The natural conditions in Brda are perfect for wine growing. Rich soil, ample sunshine, sufficient rainfall, hot summers, and mild winters all contribute to a fruitful and bountiful harvest of grapes each year. The area is most well-known for its region-specific Rebula, a refreshing white wine.

Our guides will introduce you to the traditional wines of Brda (like Rebula) while also giving you the chance to try other wines. While we take you to some of the most famous wineries in the region, we also pride ourselves in giving you a flavor of the local culture. Therefore, one of wineries we visit is on a much smaller scale and is family owned. This enables you to connect with the proprietor on a much more personal level while he/she shows you the finest aspects of viticulture.

Our tour runs regardless of weather conditions - rain, hail or shine!
Our tour lasts approx. 10 hours, and involves some walking, so be sure to bring comfortable footwear.
Your guide will stay with you throughout the tour, and you can make requests about any special dietary requirements such as any food allergies or foods you prefer to avoid eating.
You can email us about special dietary requirements prior to the tour.
And don't forget to bring a camera, you'll want to remember these great places and show them to all your family and friends for when they come to Slovenia.
