Om denne aktiviteten
I am a British born painter and began painting when i was 5 years old. I attended the Wimbledon School of Art. In 2011, i exhibited my work extensively in & around London. I am an art lover through and through and can always be found in the galleries we will visit. I can stand for hours and talk about the master pieces that are on display at my 3 favourite art galleries in the world, The Tate Modern, The National Gallery & The National Portrait Gallery. I have been inspired by the various artists that we here in London are lucky enough to see every day for free in these galleries
3 Art Galleries
We start at the National Gallery :
The National Gallery houses one of the greatest collections of paintings in the world. We will explore several paintings by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Turner, Renoir and Van Gogh. I will outline the history, the meaning and the story behind some of the worlds best known paintings by world famous painters.
We then move on to the National Portrait Gallery :
The National Portrait Gallery houses the world’s largest collection of personalities and faces, from the late Middle Ages to the present day. You will see works by artists such as Holbein to Hockney. The British Monarchy is on display here, we will see portraits 500 years old. We will discuss these characters, the paintings and the stories behind them.
Our last gallery is the Tate Modern :
Britain's national museum of modern and contemporary art from around the world is housed in the former Bankside Power Station on the banks of the Thames. The awe-inspiring Turbine Hall runs the length of the entire building and we will see amazing works by artists such as Cézanne, Bonnard, Matisse, Picasso, Rothko, Dalí, Pollock, Warhol & Bourgeois.
