We had a great 2hr Segway tour - we saw Retiro park for one hour - best way to see the huge park, the other hour we spent in the old city. There are a few stops with historic explanations and photo opportunities. Our guide was great! This is not extensive tour of Madrid but you will definitely see some of the main ones.
This was our family's first trip to Spain, and our first time doing a Segway tour as a group. It was easy to get our sons (14 and 11) excited about driving the Segways around, although a little tougher to get them to not think of them as racing cars. But Luis did a great job keeping them safe AND engaged during our 90-minute tour. We spent most of our time in Le Retiro park, touring past the back of the Prado, and around the Jeronomis church and crystal palace and other monuments. Luis was a terrific and knowledgeable guide, and we all had a great time.
A good way to cover a lot of ground quickly and to identify sites for further exploration. Why does Viator require reviews be at least 100 characters long??? I said all I needed to say with few words. Deal with it.
This tour was amazing!
It took just a few minutes training and a little bit of practice then we were away, we chose, as a group of 7 to go to the park rather than the city and it was breathtaking, such a great way to tour. The park was beautiful so many sites and as we were on the Segway we got to see so much more with very little effort. Flat shoes is a must, the heels were a little more difficult but still doable. Our guide was lovely, she took photos of us at the sites which she will email to us so we didnt have to worry about that, although there is a video of us and it looks great. Highly recomend to just do it.
Trip was great, guide was knowledgeable, the company was responsive and easy to work with. Our only issue was that we use the Segway tours as a way to get the lay of the land when we go to an unfamiliar city. The rout was too scripted and spent too much time in the park which was nice, but we wanted to go through the old historic neighborhoods. If you just want a nice day trip, I'd highly recommend them but be specific of what you want to see so you can decide which company best covers that route.
