Essaouira Day Trip from Marrakech

Wonderful day trip over to Essaouira! Incorporated a few stops on route including a cafe, to view the goats and to visit the ladies cooperative to see the Argan oil being made before arriving into Essaouira. When we arrived we had a guide to show us around the port for an hour and agreed a pick up point so we all had a few hours for some personal time. Lovely trip, well organised and a comfy bus with air conditioning :)

Great guide and transport. But the free time in the city is not too much. The city is beautiful the market is cheaper than Marrakech.

Very nice trip to the sea town with picturesque road. Old town very interesting, nice views and shopping as well. We have enjoyed it very much. Would recommend as must have!

We had a really lovely trip to Essaouira. We didn’t particularly feel the need to stop at Argan factory with pressure to buy. We would rather have had more time in Essaouira as we loved the seaside town and all the fishing boats. Mustafa our guide around the town was wonderful, friendly and very informative of the history of the people and the area

Essaouira has a beach, but no facilities and the beach isn't spectacular. The Medina has some history, but is generally a market with inflated prices for tourist. The guides which offer assistance are scammers who will try to rub you blind. If you do take a guide and negotiate a price ahead of time, make sure it's the same person taking you through the Medina. They usually get a "friend" to take you, then when the tour is finished, the "friend" tries to negotiate their share above the original price. Could have omitted this visit.

Great day trip our driver collected us at the pick up point and dropped us there in the evening. Essaouira is a lovely day out good price anf efficient service.

Does exactly what it says on the tin - transport from and back to Marrakech. Stopped off to see the goats eating argan nuts in trees - which was great.

Firstly, this is not what I would call a tour, it is an easy way to visit Essaouira from Marrakech and that was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. So, with that in mind the driver is just a driver and not a guide. It takes about three hours to get there. We stopped twice on the way a short stop to see goats in a tree, and a ten to fifteen-minute stop at a women's Argan oil collective 2nd one I had been at and found the prices for Argan products very expensive, Once you get to Essaouira at 12:00, the driver drops you off at a very central location, right next to the beach and in front of the media area. You then have about 4 hours plenty time to explore this fantastic city. At 1600 the driver returns right on time at the appointed hour. There are many areas you can comfortably sit and wait for the van if you'd like. On the drive back, you make one stop for bathroom and snacks. Back in Marrakech you are dropped off at your hotel. If you are look for a simple hassle-free option to get to Essaouria from Marrakesh, this is your trip and it is well worth the journey.
