Stop At: Medina of Marrakesh, Marrakech 40000 Morocco

With your Private Certified local guide by your side, head towards the hidden stalls in Marrakech Old City and Souks.

You’ll be asked about which items you’re most interested in finding so that your friendly guide can create a customized itinerary. To help you make the most of the Old City Medina, your guide will lead you to the best shops, where local artisans make and sell unique authentic wares. Meet with artists who are specialists in their fields and feel their passion for what they do.

You’ll visit at least 5 artisans, which could include a local leather shop where you can find Moroccan-style bags, and jackets. A jeweler specializing in silver and bead work from the far reaches of Morocco. A local herbalist offering a variety of spices and argan oil. A carpet shop, A Ladies’ fashion outlets, including a caftan shop and a silk scarf vendor, A wondrous lamp shop...

A veritable Aladdin’s cave!

As you browse the shops, your guide will teach you few key Arabic words and phrases that can make a big difference during your next shopping adventures. A Rest stop at a local café, where you’ll get to try local sweets and Berber tea (optional at your own expense).

You’ll finish off with an orientation city drive of Marrakech.

Return to the hotel at tour's end.

We had a wonderful experience within the markets of Marrakech. Our guide- Chrif- was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He was a great guide and helped us get some great products at very good rates. The highlight was visiting the co-operative store where they make Argan oil and other organic products! I would recommend this tour highly, and Chrif was a great guide!

Can't say enough about how professional, courteous and knowledgeable Hassan was. He picked us up on time and gave us an incredible experience in the medina. We would have never found most of the places he took us to. He also took us to stores in the Gulez section of Marrakesh, fantastic! He shared insights into the culture, food and history of Morocco. Definitely worth doing.

Mixed feelings about this tour, our guide was lovely, providing relevant information and very pleasant with excellent English. He took us through the souks and workshops we would never had found on our own and then asked which items we wanted to focus on purchasing. But we didn't fully get the experience we expected. We didn't meet with artists and learn about their family businesses and their work, we didn't visit a local leather shop, a jeweller, fashion outlets or even a carpet shop, but we did visit a herbalist, shoe shop and a lamp shop but these were really expensive. I had hoped to learn the art of bargaining but the guide stepped back and provided no help or advice. Also there was no rest stop until I asked for one at the end of the tour. However it was a good introduction to the souks and helped our orientation on our first morning in Marrakech.
