Private Tour of Moscow's Museum of Cosmonautics and VDNKH

Your personal guide will pick you up at your place of stay and accompany to the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. While travelling by metro discover the beautiful stations and learn about the subways significance during World War II.

As you arrive to the museum marvel at one of the largest statues in Russia - Monument to the Conquerors of Space. During your tour, explore the Universe as seen from the perspective of the Soviets, while your guide shares a brief history of the Space Race - the struggle for Space dominance between Soviet Union and United States.

Walk through the halls of the Air Space museum and see the space suit of Yuri Gagarin – the first man in space. Travel in time while you learn about the beginning of the space era, successful moon expeditions and the solar system. As the museum is filled with models of spaceships and rockets, you will feel part of a space crew exploring the Universe.

After the museum you will head to VDNKh Park and soak in the atmosphere of the 1930’s U.S.S.R. Constructed in 1935 it is a perfect demonstration of the Soviet architectural style and takes its visitor’s back to the times of Joseph Stalin and Nikita Khrushev. At VDNKh you will see life size “Vostok” rocket and Buran Spacecraft (similar to the U.S. Space Shuttle).
