On this tour you will experience the best of both: a swamp tour and an airboat ride.You will travel at high speeds in the airboat then slow down and stop for pictures. Along the way, you will get a personal tour by your local Captain. These airboats have stadium seating, so that the person in front of you does not obstruct your view. Every airboat seat is great for experiencing the tour and viewing the wildlife. Yes, gators will get close, real close. So close that you will be able to look into those reptilian eyes.

Alligators do hibernate in the colder months, but the experienced captains know where to look for them. On average, during the winter, you have better than a 50/50 chance of seeing a gator. In the warmer months, you will always see a gator. Every New Orleans Airboat Tour is unique and you never know what will be around the next corner. The area toured is a combination of Swamp, Marsh and Lake. So you may see anything from a Bald Eagle to a Pelican to Osprey our even an Owl, its that diverse. The airboats are driven by a 454 Chevy Engine that will produce speeds of up to 35 miles an hour. They are propelled by a huge fan that will blow air from the back of the boat in excess of 200 miles an hour. These tours are truly a blast! They ride in inches of water and go places where traditional boats cannot go. The boats were designed to take you to inaccessible areas of the swamp, places that you cannot reach by foot or car. It is a unique experience.

Our guide was fabulous. They called him Paco. Lol. Anyway he answered all our questions, was polite and courteous. He made the afternoon a lot of fun as we had some good laughs and learned a lot of information from him. Again he made the tour - would definitely recommend this tour and hopefully you get “Paco”!

There's nothing like being taken for a ride by someone who has lived his entire life on these waters. His relaxed and funny patter and amazing depth of knowledge about all things swampy and marshy was great. And the hotel pickup/dropoff logistics made the whole thing so darn easy.

We sped through the bayou doing Tokyo drift turns into channels. Spotted multiple gators and our guide whistled some over where I got to actually stroke it's back. This small group airboat ticked all the right boxes for a tour

We didn’t know what to expect, but this turned out to be one of the best tours my partner and I did while in New Orleans. Our boat driver was Michael who was the best! He was really funny and very knowledgeable about everything we asked him. The boats can actually fit about 10 people but ours was a small group so feels like we got special attention. The scenery is beautiful and of course you see alligators - sometimes very up close. Splurge on the price as this includes transportation and having to avoid navigating New Orleans traffic. Thank you for a great tour!!!

This excursion was awesome! The scenery was beautiful our captain Dewey was the absolute best! He knew a lot about the bayou and swamp and we saw awesome wildlife! Would do this again in a heartbeat!

What a fun addition to our trip! We saw plenty of gators, got a few splashes! (Aka Cajun AC!!). Our guide was fun and gave a great education. The transportation to and from our hotel was perfect! Highly recommend!!!

Had an amazing time on the Louisiana open airboat swamp tour. Captain Chaz was great. Saw many gators and wildlife. This is a must❤

The bus ride out to the swamp airboat tour was way too long, so many stops and for long periods of time. We were on the bus for 1 1/2 hours. Coming back was much better.

This was a great time. I did the 6 man boat. (We only had 5).... Our tour guide was great, fun, and just a cool dude. Cant remember his name but he had a few tattoos. We saw alot of aligators, he stopped numerous times for pics, and we got to hold a baby gator. The boat went pretty fast a few times, and It was so much fun. I went solo, and couldn't care less.Well worth the money, and they'll pick you up, and bring you back. Cant beat that price for the fun, and scenery.
