Our guide was Tish Casey, not only did we eat the best seafood, we also learned a lot of history from Tish, she was great, our first stop was at Tujaque's a cajun restaurant, this restaurant is considered the Grande Dame of New Orleans dining, it's been around since 1856, we had Shrimp remoulade, this was the most enjoyable taste I ever had, We then had Shrimp Po Boys at Nola's, we learned how the name came about, My favorite was the Crawfish Mac and Cheese with Red fish at the Cornet Restuarant, we learned about the family, they were the ones who gave Louie Armstrong his first horn, a cornet, the family really cared for him and he would always have Sunday dinners with them. Then we went to Creole Cookery, where we had THE BEST EVER CHAR GRILLED OYSTERS. I can't remember the names of other 2 places we went to, I highly recommend this tour on the first or second day of your trip because you will learn how to get around the French Quarter and you will know how to get to these restaurants on your own, like we did, we returned to the Creole Cookery. Not only did we have great food, walked around the French Quarter, with all her beauty, but we learned so much history, thanks to our beloved tour guide Tish Casey,

My wife and I did this tour on a hot day in mid-September of 2018. In addition to trying some of the finest foods in the French Quarter, our guide, Richard, made this walking tour an absolute highlight of our trip. He was pleasant, well spoken and very knowledgeable when it came to discussing the history of not just the restaurants we visited, but New Orleans and Louisiana as well. We made five restaurant stops along our way and enjoyed wonderfully prepared and plated samplings which left us satisfied and in no need for lunch when we were done. We also stopped in at a candy store where we were surrounded by sample dishes and each given a little treat. We highly recommend taking this tour to anyone who likes great food and wants an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon in New Orleans.
