With a concentration on boosting creativity, the private group photo experience gets you off the grid to see New York City with fresh eyes. Participants learn photo techniques to maximize shooting at night. On location, maximize your camera or device’s creative potential and discover why the best camera is the one that you have with you.

Participants are encouraged to use a tripod, ND (.6) filter, and long exposure photography to integrate at least 2-4 technical and aesthetic practices for improving their images of people, places, and things at night. Discussion and image review onsite following your session.

This really wasn't what I was looking for. I thought it was going to be more of a photo walk type of tour as opposed to more of a classroom type experience. It was at a location that I probably never would have went to shoot if it wasn't for this experience. This would be a great experience for someone who doesn't know a lot of the technical side of night photography.

I was traveling with my husband from Los Angeles to NYC for Spring break. I'm a little more advanced than the average traveler as I often do night photography when I travel as my hobby. Since I don't really know New York, I signed up for this private tour. Our guide Ended up being Roberta and I must say she's fabulous. She's very knowledgeable and a lot of fun to shoot with. I'm a constant work in progress and it's great to be out with someone who really knows what they are doing and who can give valuable feedback. My husband went along on the tour and is not a photographer. He just used his phone and Roberta helped him too, which was great. If you want to try out night photography in New York this is the place to go. They have experienced folks and we had so much fun, you won't regret it.
