Om denne aktiviteten
Leave central Waikiki by air-conditioned minivan and travel to the beach at Maunalua Bay, near Hawai'i Kai – roughly 20 minutes away. Change into your bathing suit and listen to a comprehensive 10-minute safety briefing to learn how to start, stop and control your jet ski once out on the water.
Then, put on your lifejacket and enjoy a short barge ride to the jet ski launch pad. With the help of an instructor, take to the water on your single- or double-jet ski for 30 minutes of fun. Rev the engine and leave the soft sands of the beach behind as you hurtle around the waters of gorgeous Maunalua Bay. The sea around this area is known for being calm, with soft waves that create ideal conditions for watersports.
Cut your course through the waves, making white-water patterns as you speed around the bay. If you want to take it slower, meander through the waters and soak up the stunning scenery that abounds. Framed by the Ko'olau Mountains, the bay is home to some of Oahu’s top sights including the Hawai’i Kai coastline and two impressive headlands: Koko Crater and Koko Head.
After 30 minutes speeding through the sea, return to the launch pad to hand your jet ski back, and then ride back to the beach by barge. Your Waikiki jet ski experience finishes with a drop-off back in central Waikiki.

This tour is basically a half-hour jet ski to go around and around in circles on an area of about half a mile and that's it. This company charges for every single extras that you could imagine. For example, they tell you that you should wear goggles because the salt water will get in your eyes which was true but they goggles cost a 5 extra. They also charged my wife 30 to ride with us to the base where the jet skis were, even if she didn't ride the jet ski--and the platform was half-empty! They also didn't even give me my 30 minutes. Instead, they stopped me at about 28 minutes--yes, I did start my stop watch right at the beginning. In addition, this company seemed to cater to mostly Japanese tourists, which is okay, except the ladies at the front desk didn't seem to have a strong command of the English language, which ended up precluding my communication with them regarding several aspects of the tour. Finally, they also try to sell you a very very expensive video and picture sets from a GoPro camera at the end of the tour, which we didn't by, of course. I remember taking a real jet ski tour in St. Thomas last spring, where they took us out to see most of the island that was a much, much better jet ski experience--and at a much more reasonable price, by the way. All in all, if you're looking for a fun jet ski experience in Hawaii, look somewhere else...
