Visit: Musee Picasso-Paris, 5 rue de Thorigny Hôtel Salé, Marais, 75003 Paris France
Opened in 1985 in the lavish Hotel Salé, the Picasso Museum, located in the heart of Paris in the Marais district, is a must-see for all Picasso's enthusiasts.
Discover an extraordinary collection of over 5, 000 works, masterpieces, personal archives, sculptures and furnitures. This very complete collection offers a great picture of the artist's works and creative process.
The museum houses 300 stunning paintings, from Picasso Self-portrait and La Celestina produced during his Blue period to the Kiss, Large Nudes, Matadors and Musicians in his final years, redrawing all Picasso main periods.
The Picasso museum also gathers a selection of sculptures and ceramics as well as numerous prints and engravings and photographic archives.
One fun fact about the Picasso Museum is that it actually possesses an outstanding collection of 50 items of furniture designed by Diego Giacometti, gathered exclusively for the refurnishing of the Hôtel Salé.
After your visit, enter the library, sheltering 11,000 publications and some one hundred books illustrated by Pablo Picasso.

Exhibit is a good sample of Picasso’s work but not enough representation. Location is great but many stairs to climb for the aging folks.
The really wasn't a line at the ticket counter, even during the holiday season. Long lines were to get the audio guides and pay (separate line from ordering and piling up the guides). Good option anyway as e-voucher is in my e-wallet. Excellent way to spend the afternoon in rainy Paris.
Got another six folks to enjoy the museum visit with me. All in all, eight pax!
A good museum to visit. I felt I took a crush course on Picasso. Exposition very well organized indeed.
This museum blends well the personal history and personality of the artist as connected to his paintings. Jim and Betty Higgins Louisville KY USA
