After meeting at Copacabana beach, you will cycle along the beach to the Vidigal favela. Then take a taxi through the favela to the very top where the hiking trail begins.

From there, hike to the top of the peak to see amazing panoramic views. Along the way, you may see little monkeys and other local wildlife as well as be amazed by the views of Sao Conrado beach, Tijuca’s forest, Rocinha’s favela and the Christ the Redeemer statue.

After enjoying the amazing scenery, hike back down and through the favela to where you left your bicycles. Hop back on your bike and cycle back to Copacabana beach.

The tour itself was really good and includes a little walk through a favella. It was especially good on a rainy day, great cooling hiking up the 2 brothers! Jacq, our tour leader, was enthusiastic, knowledgable, great fun and really helpful - she turned the trip from great to outstanding :-)

The day was absolutly perfect. The beginning was in time, the speed was confortable, the wether was good, we could laught much and the views where awsome. My personal highlight was to go by motorbike through the favela and of course the view from the top of the mountain. I could heighly recommand.

This was a very good experience, except for the rain and cloudy conditions. The bike ride was so nice along the beach and then we got on motorcycles and rode to the beginning of the hiking trail. The trail was not difficult to navigate most of the time, but it did go on for a very long time and all uphill. I am in pretty good shape for my age 60 ish but I was winded and needing to take breaks several times on the way up. I was glad I decided to wear my tennis shoes instead of my walking shoes because of the grip. When we got to the top, it was too cloudy to really see anything, but it was still a great feeling to get there. The way down was easier but then we had to walk miles it seemed through the favela to get back to the bikes. Although it was an amazing experience, it was hard on the legs and feet walking downhill for so long. The bike trip back was nice except for the rain. Be prepared for a lot of walking and wear good gripping shoes.

This was the highlight of our entire trip! Our guide, Gabriel, was knowledgeable, helpful and fun to be around. The motorcycle ride through the favelas to the start of the trail was one of the most memorable parts of our entire trip to Rio for 12 days! The view from Dois Irmaos was absolutely incredible. And the best part was that it wasn't crowded like Pao de Azucar or Corcovado. Loved every bit of this tour!
