Damir was an excellent tour guide having deep knowledge of Croatia's history and culture . As part of the Diocletian Palace walking tour , he showed us all interesting and important places within the old town of Split . For the optional tour of Trogir , we two were the only persons . So it became like a private tour . Damir explained the Trogir cathedral and the old town in a detailed manner after which he gave us about 30 minutes of free time to go around the small but beautiful town of Trogir .

Good walking tour, covered a lot of information and made as many accommodations as possible to avoid the rain. We didn't do the trip to Trogir but the palace was lovely.

We had no trouble finding our tour group at the entrance to the castle. It was cruise ship day Tuesday so the castle was pretty full of touring groups. We wound our way through the castle learning interesting information all the way. We found it very informative. We stayed on and took the 1/2 hour ride to Trogir. The city is super charming and we learned all about the Venetian walled city. We were back in Split at about 3pm. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and it gave us a good understanding of the town and region that we found useful in the coming days.
