You'll be picked up from your hotel in Taipei City. Then, you will be transferred to Taipei Railway Station to take a train to Hualien. After arrival in Hualien, your friendly and professional local tour guide will take you to explore the amazing Taroko National Park.

Taroko National Park is one of the nine national parks in Taiwan with many beautiful attractions. Your first stop is the Tunnel of Nine Turns with total length of 1.3 miles (2 km). Taroko Gorge is the most essential sections, leaning against the mountain trails and deep valleys and overlooking the rapids of a stream river. The gorge started over 200 million years ago as sediment on the bottom of the ocean.

Later visit the Eternal Spring Shrine, one of the major picturesque points in the park. Enjoy the mesmerizing view of the mountains and waterfall. It also happens to be one of the main memorials for veterans.

Next, continue to the Swallow Grotto. "Swallow" refers to the Cross-Island Highway from Jin Heng Park. Take a break, and enjoy some local Taiwanese cuisine for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will visit the beautiful beach at Cisingtan Scenic Area, and then proceed to Hualien Stone Sculptural Park to visit a marble factory. When the tour ends, you will be transferred back to the Hualien Railway Station to take the train back to Taipei by 7:00 PM, and then you will be dropped off at your hotel in Taipei.

our pick up was at 5:30 am and our driver arrived even earlier then we were brought to the Train station given our tickets and instructions. Upon reaching Hualien, Josephine was a busy bee gathering all of us who booked her Taroko Gorge Tour. The slight drizzle didn't;t dampen our spirits as we explored the beauty of the gorge. Lunch was superb. Josephine timed all our stops very well and she made sure no one was left behind from beginning up to the end of the tour. It was a great finale to our first glimpse of Taiwan.

It was good organized and I felt comfortable traveling alone. The landscape is absolute mine and I liked the relaxed atmosphere on the train

The tour was fantastic regardless of the heavy traffic and construction. Wonderful sites to see and if you like nature, you'll love this tour. The main drawback was the tour guide. She only narrate areas to be seen. No comments along the drive or extra commentaries. She spent most of the travel time on her cell phone.

The trip was well planned and executed. Ideally for this tour a 2 day itinerary is better but I had no choice. Nevertheless, Josephine and her team was very competent and pleasant to deal with. She knows the Gorge inside out and speaks decent English. Taiwan is a beautiful country and i strongly recommend opting for this tour.

If you're limited on time, as I was, this is a good tour. You'll be rushed along as others have noted, but you still have ample time to enjoy. The 3 star rating is not for the nature part, that was fantastic and amazing. What happened at the end of our tour for the last 1 or 1.5 hours, wasn't listed and wasn't appreciated. We went to a mochi cake store and a precious stone showroom/jewelry store. The jewelry store especially was a high-pressure sales situation. Not appreciated, when what I wanted to see was nature and felt rushed seeing the nature. Would encourage this information be disclosed. But, Josephine, as others have noted, makes the trip funny and lighthearted. Others have noted that the group doesn't take you directly to the platform on both sides, but I experienced that they did. They brought us to the waiting area of the car for our train both going there and coming back. When we arrived in both cases, our guide was outside our car door, with a sign. Well organized. The lunch was great! I had a special request and they accommodated it easily. At lunch you will have an opportunity to see a templedo it. It is wonderful.
