Meet your chef at the Hassan Sushi & Shabu-Shabu Restaurant where your lesson takes place. Watch your sushi chef prepare the freshest fish as you learn the origin of sushi-making through a live demonstration. Discover the perfect amount of pressure to put on the rice to ensure it keeps its shape without being too dense. Place the sushi on top and squeeze it just enough to set it to the rice without damaging the filet.

Throughout your lesson you are guided by a professional every step of the way as you make your own rolled sushi and nigiri sushi. Your fresh ingredients and fish are sourced daily from the nearby Tsukiji Fish Market, guaranteeing that the sushi you make is of the utmost quality. Once your lesson is over, enjoy the rich tastes of your own handcrafted sushi along with a special beef hot pot from the restaurant.

This was a great class. Our chef, Masaaki Tabata, was a great sensei - patient, funny, and it helped that he spoke good English. The sushi we made and the beef hot pot were delicious. We all said that we would sign up again the next time we visit Japan. If you love sushi, you'll love this class.
