Dropped off after 3+ hour drive....walked 2 hours with apps 5 2min stops for guide (who was terrible couldn’t annunciations no mic crown was shoulder to shoulder for 2 hrs) no stops to view inside of sites or shops or use facilities...after 2 hrs non stop walking ...told rondev point was 10 min straight ahead...we now hv 2 hrs to tour area and eat lunch / dinner ...after pickup were told bus would go straight back to city no stops (3hrs)..instead a woman insisted we stop to provide her a smoke break 6 min) we did on the side of the road...then 15 min later she insisted on another break ( 20 min) we finally after changing drivers we returned back to bus stop and were not offered ride bk to hotel...THEY STINK
Our bus guide Sylvia was more interested in speaking to the bus driver instead pointing out the landmarks and what they meant as well as their history. When we got to Prague, our guide Jan hurriedly ran through the city and was often unintelligible. He seemed more interested in getting to the end of the tour rather than educating the tourists to what they were seeing and why it was important. Everything he described was “charming and magnificent”.
Whilst Prague itself was a very nice place to visit and the tour guide did point out the key places, unfortunately I cannot recommend this trip due to the length of time. It took us approximately 4.5 hours to get to Prague and we only spent about 3-3.5 hours in Prague itself then obviously 4.5 hours back. If you want to visit just to say you've been to Prague and stick that pin on the world map in your bedroom then maybe I could say it's a good tour to do but if you wanted to see it in detail, you would be better off staying the night there.
Our guide from Munich was great. Prague is a beautiful city! The local guide did not provide much detail about the local culture or history. Getting to do this trip in a day from Vienna worked perfectly for our family!
