This route starts at the ship station Wien / City at Schwedeplatz, passes the Urania Observatory and takes you through the „green Vienna“ with the forests of the Prater. Passing the lock Freudenau, the ship docks at Marina Wien. Alongside Danube Island, the Peace Pagoda and the Ernst Happel stadion our ship will sail to the next stop, Reichsbrücke.

Starting at the stop Reichsbrücke we show you the „modern Vienna“ with the skyline of the Danube, the Danube Tower and the Millenium Tower. Through the lock Nussdorf we reach the Danube Canal, where you experience the „historical Vienna“ and interesting architecture: the district heating plant Spittelau by Hundertwasser, the Rossauer Baracks, the Ring Tower, the Urania Observatory and many more.

The Cruise was interesting although rather lengthy. the promo for the cruise should have been clearer regarding the possibility to choose shorter cruises. In addition we had expected (perhaps mistakenly) that the cruise would be accompanied by more detailed explanations of the various sites. The inclusion of 2 locks in the cruise while interesting (once) took about a half hour each. I believe these should have been explained in a little more detail particularly considering the time available just standing in the lock. It seemed that the main purpose of the cruise operators was to sell meals. While we didn't partake, the service seemed to be quite reasonable.
