The underground was the simplest to understand, not so much the buses, trains and trams. I'll do better next time.

Yes, you got free metro rides but most museums you have to pay and discount only couple - few dollars. In my thinking, it not save a lot. I might get another museum card if you are museum lover:

We always aim to buy theses city cards when travelling as it takes the worry out of buying individual travel tickets. Had a slight difficulty finding a machine to activate our cards but once that was done we were away. We used the card for discounted entry to a couple of places but a little disappointed there were no freebies! In other cities we feel there has been a better deal.

For us, being over 65, the value of the Vienna city card is with usage on the excellent urban transport system. Discounts on entry to museums etc are overridden by concessions we get for being old.
