Lake Bled & Ljubljana - Private day tour from Zagreb

The tour starts with the morning departure from your accommodation in Zagreb. After approximately 2 hour drive we will reach beautiful Lake Bled, surrounded by the mountains and a small town. One of the biggest tourist attractions in Slovenia will take your breath away. Turquoise water and a church on a tiny island set a perfect romantic landscape. You will visite the island by traditional "pletna" boat. While listening a murmur of paddle going in and out of the water, you can feel the serenity of the area.

Besides the lake and the island, there is the oldest castle in Slovenia, situated above the lake. The view from up there is astonishing and you can see entire panorama of the lake and the town of Bled. The castle was built in late medieval period, and throughout all those centuries, local bishops were renting the castle to some noble families.

Our tour starts in front of the castle, where we will purchase the tickets for the castle. After seeing the castle, you may take a path down to the lake, where you can walk around the lake as much as you like. After the walk you can take pletna boat, the rowing boat that takes you to the island (that tour lasts for 100 minutes). When you are back on the land again, you can choose if you want to have a lunch, a drink, a dessert (Bled's kremšnita is the most famous pastry in Slovenia), or you want to proceed to Ljubljana.

After the Lake Bled we shell start our return, and on the way back stop at Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. Ljubljana is a medium sized European city that managed to retain traces from all periods of its rich history. It is a place where eastern and western cultures met and stayed. Ljubljana offers you plenty of coffee shops and restaurants, so after a walking tour, you can relax with a drink or a meal. The walking in the city-center gives you an impression of a city's soul and customs. For a panoramic view of the city, there is a castle on the hill above the center.

Ljubljana is only 90 minutes away from Zagreb, so you would not feel exhausted of a long drive back.
